My name is Vicki Green and I am a chess coach. I learnt how to play at the age of eight years old and I represented my school, playing games in Essex and in Sheffield.
Growing up, I was not interested in running about and playing sports outdoors. I would always rather sit inside and play chess.I taught my younger brother how to play
I want to be able to pass my skills onto other people, for them to experience and have the same passion that I have about the game.
I have skills and qualifications in BSL (British Sign Language), Counselling L3 and learning support experience with students who have special needs.
As you play a game of chess, you can forget your troubles and focus on what’s on the board. It is a great game to build confidence, self-esteem, lower stress levels and anxieties and it is FUN!!!
